SAUNDERS HOTEL INVESTMENTS formerly OLD BAYSIDE PARTNERS LLC

In 1996, Saunders Hotel Group principals, Gary and Jeffrey Saunders, partnered with Steve Bodi and formed Old Bayside Partners, whose first project was to develop the 208 room Comfort Inn & Suites serving the Logan International Airport market. The property opened in 2000, after the partners navigated through a complex series of special permits and zoning variances. This 7-story block and plank structure, when opened, won Environmental Hotel of the Year from Comfort Inn’s parent company, Choice Hotels International.

In 2001, the City of Boston designated Old Bayside Partners as the re-developer of the former Boston Police Department Headquarters. Opened in 2004, the property was transformed into a 225-room hotel that is operated by Jurys Doyle Hotel Group under a long-term agreement. Jurys Boston Hotel has received numerous accolades for its architectural preservation and has quickly emerged as a very successful hotel in Boston’s fashionable Back Bay.

Following on the success of these endeavors, Old Bayside’s principals established the Old Bayside Heritage Partners investment programs inviting friends, colleagues and business associates to participate. “Heritage Partners” has thus far offered three investment vehicles and in the process raised $29 million which is in various stages of development. In January 2008, Old Bayside Partners, LLC became Saunders Hotel Investments. For more information on SHG and their investment programs, please go to: www.saundershotelinvestments.com.
