What's your favorite thing about coming to work each day?

I love getting the chance to sit and chat with the team at lunchtime in the cafeteria.  It's like having Sunday dinner at Mom's house!  We share so much about our families, our struggles and triumphs, and plans for the future.  It really is a special time of the day! 
 

What was the deciding factor in joining the SHG team?

When I was looking for that “next step” in my career, I looked at many of the national and international hotel chains.  While these “big box” hotel companies had many qualities of that were intriguing, I thought they were all missing something.  What they were lacking, I found at SHG.  I'm not a “number” here.  Nobody is!  Everyone is part of the team; a family that works together toward the common goal.  I immediately felt embraced and welcomed.  It's the kind of warmth that I don't think I would have found at the big chains.
